Walking sticks were fashion accessories for centuries. They were pieces of art, beautifully crafted and were made of expensive materials and decorated with precious stones and pearls. In the second half of the 20th century, walking sticks lost their fashion component and became simple helping tool, a sign of weakness and/or old age. Marlene and Maurice are walking sticks are simple yet beautiful: they are made of contemporary material- (engraved)Plexiglas, with added LED-light in the base of the stick. The light turns on when the stick is pressed to the ground so the stick glows in the dark.
