#343: Does the product have to be mass-produced? Is one piece only produced designs eligible?
The product does not have to be mass produced, but should be industrially producible for most categories. If your product is not mass-produced but it is mass producible you can join almost all categories, for example concept stage works as well as prototype stage works that are not yet produced are accepted. If however, your product is not possible to be mass produced, then you can join one of the following two categories: firstly, there is the limited edition design award category that honors the limited edition productions that are not mass produced, second there is there is the arts and crafts category that honors functional art. Furthermore, some high end design oriented products while not being mass produced could be accepted to the industrial design categories given they have superior aesthetics. The best way to ensure is to directly upload your design and see if it gets accepted or not, in case your entry would not be suitable for the category, the preliminary jury members would suggest you the correct category during the preliminary checks.
