#311: Are we obliged to credit the photogaphers by providing the names for the image credits section?
If the photographer does not require you to credit his or her name, we do not force or require you to credit the name either. We provide the image and photo credits section to protect your own interest as well as to honor the photographer. Providing photographer name can protect your interest in some cases, for example after results announcement your photographer could state that the images were used without crediting the name. If these photographs get published in the magazines (and we try to make so), you could be legally obliged to pay fines to your photographer. However, if you have special agreement with your photographer, or if your photographer is guaranteed not to create any problems for you, you may as well leave these sections blank. The decision is completely up to you. If you are the creator of the images or photographers, in this case you can also leave this fields blank, but if you are the creator of images, it is better to credit your self, to protect your interest on images. By providing image and photo credits, you kindly ask any publishers to credit or quote the name of the photographer, illustrator, designer or the design team who have prepared the images.
