#251: I would like to know if there is only specific projects that can be submitted for car design award - for example specific range of car design - for automotive design sector - or any type of car design can be submitted to the car design award?

The full category name for the Car Design Competition is called Car and Land-Based Motor Vehicles Design. Any car design that fits into this definition could be submitted. Other vehicle designs can be submitted to another category titled Vehicle Design, which is more generic. For the Car Design Award, therefore you could submit any type of designs of: Cars, Trucks, Pickups, Bus, Sports, Utility Vehicles, Sport Cars and More. However, I would like to remind that while you can submit any type of car design to this category, retro and futuristic designs are suggested to be submitted to different categories to ensure they will be judged correctly. Highly futuristic designs i.e. realizable within for example, 20+ years, could be submitted to a special category called the Futuristic Design Category instead of Car Design Competition where it will be judged based on its futuristic aspects thus providing a better scoring. If you have a concept design realizable within less than 20 years, in this case you can submit to the car design category instead of futuristic design category; you can also submit any realized work. However, once again, for car designs that are older than 20 years of age, we advise not to submit them to the car design award but rather to Retro Design Category. We have opened these two categories especially to ensure that the Car Design Category submissions are all modern and comparable to each-other within the time-frame. Thus, as a summary, you can submit any car designs to the car design category unless they are very futuristic or very old. Please be reminded that old or futuristic submissions will not be eliminated, but they could be handicapped in this category.
