#128: I would like to submit a book design project, what are your suggestions?
First of all, when submitting a book design, the correct category is either the Graphic Design category (in most cases; where you design the content, layout, pagination, graphics, cover etc.) or the Packaging Design Category (where you especially design a special cover for the book) or both competition categories could be applicable if you have a design that is composed of both the packaging and graphic design. When submitting a book under the graphic design competition, the main image is preferably a photo shot of the open book; you might like to choose the best looking two pages or the middle of the book. Optional image one, should be a photo-shot of the cover of the book, closed. Optional image two should be a photo shot of the contents page. Optional images three and four could be orthogonal shots or renderings of different pages. If you have inserts or special designs, make sure you include them; if you have a level of interaction in the book such as pop-ups, and other mixed media, you can submit a short animation about your book. You are also encouraged to submit a preview of the book in pdf format. The preview could include a maximum of 40 pages, and is limited to 10 MBs. For the packaging category, you should submit the main image as the package, optional images two-three as unpacking stop-motion type shots, and the optional image four could be a close up on the texture or material of the package.
