#102: We are a package design studio, we like to submit our designs to the package design competition, what are the different kind of products that we can submit?
For the packaging design category, you are allowed to submit every total package design project; this means that designs that are only graphic in nature are not accepted to the packaging design category; if you only did graphic design projects (such as only the label part of a package) , submit them under the Graphics and Advertising design category, this being said, you can submit total packaging designs under the packaging design category. A total design for packaging means both the graphic design plus a level of 3d design or color / material variations in medium, to give an example if you designed a liqueur bottle and the graphic all together you can submit to the packaging design category, or if you used an existing wine bottle but in a different color than the usual, again you can submit to the packaging design competitions, to sum up again, you need to have a level of control on the container / medium. To give examples of objects that could be submitted to the packaging design category, we can talk about as bottles, wine bottles, water bottles, juice flasks and liquid containers, boxes for other goods, special packaging, cans, cases, casings and protective covers for all other products, product packages and their designs, bags, special household packagings, special film overwraps, other protective products, bottle caps, special paperboard designs, cartoon bottles, bag-in-box, storage items and any other object that encloses, protects and covers products for distribution, sale and use are accepted to the packaging design competition.
