Founded in Tokyo by Tomoya Akasaka, ORGA-Lab creates sensory enrichment through design that stimulates the senses. We pursue experiential value beyond architecture to form a new dialogue between people and their environment.

We specialize in cross-disciplinary design proposals, focusing on architecture, but also including urban, installation, industrial, interior, and landscape design. Our goal is centered around the creation of authentic experiences that not only captivate the visual sense but also actively engage all the senses. Achieving this goal involves a harmonious integration of art, products, and the environment, with architecture serving as the pivotal role that binds these diverse components together. At the heart of our philosophy is the interpretation of the historical and contextual essence of a site. While respecting the subtleties of human sensibilities, we strive to create a vision that is uniquely rooted in the characteristics of our environment. With this direction, we hope to create an organization of sequential experiences, what might be called 'experience value'. In the early stages of our career, we experimented with practical interventions in the urban space through installations and other public art works that temporarily transformed its character. Subsequently, we have also designed commercial architectural projects. In those projects, we have emphasized the human senses and sought to integrate commercial and artistic expression. In recent years, we were entrusted with the overall direction of a resort development project named ‘VISON’, where we were in charge of the conceptualization, master planning, architectural design, signage planning, and other details. In particular, the master plan comprehensively handled the development and architectural plans, and we worked hard to create landscape value for the region. We have endeavored to build a huge development with human finesse. This commitment to the delicate human senses runs through the foundation of our work, which has gradually formed the concept of 'experience value'. ORGA-Lab will redefine architectural boundaries and design interactions between the various elements comprising the perception. The process moves back and forth between personal contemplation, which gets down deep into the heart of the matter, and co-creation in collaboration with the client, the team, and the specialists. We believe in the power of design to transform spaces, experiences, and lives. Our journey has been one of constant exploration, innovation, and dedication to the principles that set us apart in the design world. As we look forward, our mission remains steadfast: to focus on creating rich sensory interactions between the environment and humans, creating environments that not only resonate on a visual level but also reflect the deep-seated values and aspirations of our clients and their communities.
