KIDS DESIGN LABO (KDL) is a professional creative team, which designs various items for children such as furniture, stationaries, uniforms, bags, logotypes and so on, while giving design consultation.

KIDS DESIGN LABO (KDL) is a professional creative team, which designs various items for children such as furniture, stationaries, uniforms, bags, logotypes and so on, while giving design consultation. It is often the cases with items for children, that they are often designed with famous characters, or has too many bright colors in one items. True that those would attract children at first, but we, KDL, doubt that those would teach children to appreciate genuine things. We believe that nothing but the things which children experience, see touch and use at the early stage of their lives needs to be very well designed. KDL is an affiliated company of HIBINOSEKKEI + Youji no Shiro, which is an architecture design office only for kindergarten and nursery. HIBINOSEKKEI + Youji no Shiro has been engaged in more than 520 projects not only in Japan but also around the world. So with these enough knowledge and experiences of designing for children, all items are designed by our integrated design philosophy.
