Cangshan is passionate about creating and sharing value through good design which we define as the perfect balance point between practical function and beautiful aesthetics.

Cangshan is a fresh, new brand of New Star Foodservice Inc. We began Cangshan because of our love and passion for design, for creating value and building products that reflect those values, which has led us to follow our desire to create beautiful, functional tools for creatives. New Star Foodservice Inc. is headed by Henry, who has strong relationships within the manufacturing community and a background in engineering. Henry has always been about quality; he believes in starting with and giving the best. This has pushed him to build a young, forward thinking and early adopting creative/administrative team and led him to stray away from building tiered models of basically the same product with similar features. Instead Henry focuses on continuing to improve current products and business processes and design new, unique items for the market. Thanks to online marketplaces New Star Foodservice Inc. was able to directly engage customers and began to design and build kitchen and housewares that provided the functions and aesthetics they desired. Henry's team includes a total of 9 designers, including 6 industrial designers working on site at our knife manufacturing facility. One value highly appreciated and fostered at New Star Foodservice Inc. is collaboration, so all opinions, ideas and input of value are sought out from the whole team, from warehouse to career designer. Everything is listened to and if there is a possibility to create and share value the whole team works together to bring life to possibility. Our focus always starts with passion, we believe the passion to do/create the best leads us to the long lasting, stunning quality that forms the foundation of a great tools. We love quality, of material, of craft and of function and this is why we ultimately name ourselves a global brand. Passion can be found anywhere, from the solid, hard working teams we source our German high-alloy steel from to the adept, expert knifemakers ensuring every Cangshan knife is perfectly crafted to express and create.
