IO Kids Design studio was created in 2012 by Mina Panic. Our designs combine simple and strict functionalism with playful and elegant aesthetic.

IO Kids Design aims to produce innovative, well-engineered and above all fun furniture that grows with a child. Each piece complements the others in the range, with primary material being Scandinavian Birch Plywood, featuring exposed edges for a warm, natural and comforting feel. Central to IO Kids Design ethos is that their products combine style with versatility and longevity and above all with a real sense of joy and fun that will appeal to children and adults alike.

IO Kids Design creates innovative, versatile and playful design for children. All our products are made from Scandinavian birch plywood and we take great pride in offering sustainable, high-quality products that inspire and delight.
The IO Bench and Tray Table Set is multi functional in its ability to adapt to a child’s changing needs, a concept that is core to our design process and is perfectly illustrated in this piece. With the tray side facing up, budding architects can construct whole cities without building blocks falling off the edge. When creation demands the use of pens and paper, the top simply flips over to make a space on which to draw.
The IO Kids Desk combines multiplicity of purpose with simplicity of design. Grooves and holes on the desk keep pencils tidy and slotted inserts form a place to keep books and materials upright and accessible. The shelf beneath the desk provides extra room for storage. Reminiscent of an old fashioned school desk with its incorporated repositories, it takes elements of a bygone era and reimagines them into something unmistakably modern, sleek and innovative that can be adjusted to a child’s height.
The IO Kids House Light is designed as a riddle and combines mystery with the reassurance of a warm glow. When illuminated, its inner recesses can be half seen, sparking curiosity and questions. The House is made from interlocking pieces with no glue, no screws and no fixings, with smooth, tactile edges, so that a child can, with supervision, assemble it themselves.
The IO Doodle Box is a mobile art unit with multiple uses including seating and storage. It is designed with integrated wheels to easily move it around and its removable tray ensures materials are always handy. It also accommodates a roll of paper which pulled out over the top creates a drawing board.
The IO Kids Bunk Pod is an all in one space for children to sleep, store and study. Its ability to transform into two single beds or a bed and desk unit make the pod an integral part of a child’s life. Its gentle curves give the bed a comforting appeal and its simple, uncluttered lines combine playful design with complete functionality.
