Reda Amalou, architect and designer, founded AW2 in 1997. He created REDA AMALOU DESIGN in 2012, which develops his design and furniture projects.

Reda Amalou is an architect and a designer. Reda Amalou graduated as an architect at the University of East London. He founded AW2 architecture workshop in Paris in 1997. The practice has since developed into a high-end design office recognised across the world. The firm’s work has had extensive international press coverage and has reaped awards: Best Hotel Design Travel and Leisure, Best Hotel MIPIM award, Green Good Design Chicago Museum of Architecture… With AW2, Reda Amalou has developed architecture, interiors as well as furniture designs. This has naturally led him to create his own furniture and accessories collection, which is presented for the first time under his own brand: Reda Amalou Design. The collection combines elegance, simplicity and sobriety while giving a strong sense of luxury. Often inspired from modern 20th century architecture and design the objects and furniture are designed with a unique formal identity as well as a sense of structure. Each piece defines its own space; the lines are pure and expressive. The materials used range from leather to bronze and walnut, with rich deep textures. The designs are also an expression of Reda’s extensive travels around the world and contacts with different cultures. This multi-cultural approach to design is anchored into his own personal story. As an French-Algerian national, having lived and studied in England and having worked extensively in Asia for the last 15 years, he integrates seamlessly local cultural elements into his contemporary designs. Reda is also involved in projects for industrial manufacturers and has designed a glass and water jug for Baccarat, contributes regularly to Toulemonde Bochart rug collections and is currently preparing a projects for Veronese and Bagues.
