RDP is a creative marketing program of international exhibitions, educational design consulting and publishing projects aiming to promote Russian designers and brands abroad.

RUSSIAN DESIGN PAVILION is an international partnership of Anastasia Krylova (Creativirus Agency, Italy) and Maria Tvardovskaya (Profi2profit Agency, Russia) which includes a program of exhibitions and publishing projects aiming to promote Russian speaking designers and brands abroad, as well as educational design consulting, contests etc. In our work we try to make focus less on viewing the subject as an academic topic, but more on the presentation and experience aspect. We believe that the use of more effective marketing strategies with wide network of professional contacts or the organization of independent design initiatives abroad could become a tool for business promotion enhancing the status of Russian design without any "myth". We have started RDP program in 2012 and we are still relevantly small in terms of staff but, in fact, we are the one and only team at the moment that cares about development and promotion of contemporary Russian product design abroad and constantly searches for the most effective ways communicating and testing knowledge about the main factors and trends that influence design and how design can continue to be a driver for innovation and growth in the future. We are working on the following topics: exhibitions (international pavilions and temporary design corners), education (courses and workshops), publishing projects (books and advertising catalogues), design contests and PR&media promotion in Russian, Italian and English languages. RDP team is successfully collaborating with organization commettees of some prestigious international design weeks, festivals and fairs: Fuorisalone, 100% Design London, Florence Design Week, Moscow Design Week, Saint Petersburg Design Week, Innoprom, Design Act Festival, InterBudExpo. We have already held Russian Design Pavilions in Florence, London and Moscow, issued RUB DESIGN BOOK which includes 65 designers and studios profiles from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, 158 projects, more than 500 images, interesting interviews, biographies, presentations with introduction dedicated to the cultural and historical origins of national design and its perspectives. In other words, we try in a contemporary way to carry on, enhance and renew the Russian design tradition.
