Sarah Dehandschutter has been designing lamps and chandeliers since 1994. Her repertoire consists of unique handmade pieces made to order, and a collection of elegant lamps to be produced industrially.

Sarah dehandschutter's first creations date back to 1994. Over the years she has matured into a full grown designer. The experience she has acquiered over the years by exploring different techniques and materials has brought her the necessary expertise to develop her more recent creations, which can be produced industrially. Hand curved iron rods have always been the basis of Dehandschutters work. Once almost pictural it has now evolved into a more abstract and contemplative direction. The naturally elegant light sculptures are the result of cloth streched over bended rods. This gracious collection of lamps could hardly have been designed on paper, as it results directly from the properties of the materials used. This gives them their unique character. While she remains producing unique pieces tailored to benefit the interior of the client, the focus is now more design orientaited.
