FURTHER DETAILS:
The Compact Hand pump design has developed from a project that aimed to investigate the possibilities for a range of innovative product concepts that could combine a new piston technology designed by Gareth Bristow, within a lightweight and ergonomic hand pump design. The heart of the advanced concept there features a small, yet powerful, patented mechanical device that efficiently converts a single rotary action into multiple linear movements, making the device ideal for repetitive pumping applications. Pumped have fully designed a range of models of the pump and have recently produced a cosmetic prototype of the ultra compact pump and working model of the internal mechanism. Currently Pumped are manufacturing a fully functional prototype to fully test the pump’s operation against the expected specifications. It is Pumped Ltd’s intention to manufacture the pumps in the UK and is now seeking to select from a list of several manufacturing partners, one or two that could produce the anticipated production volumes of pumps within certain cost constraints.
