About Yi Hsuan Chen : Yi Hsuan Chen is an award-winning interior designer and founder of YunLi Spatial Aesthetics, based in Taipei. With over 14 years of experience across residential and renovation projects, her work is recognized for its poetic fusion of natural textures, curated art, and emotional spatial narratives. A 2025 MUSE Design Award winner, she is known for transforming everyday spaces into soulful sanctuaries through material tactility and atmosphere. Beyond design execution, she actively contributes to the design community as a guest lecturer and graduation juror, fostering dialogue between education and industry. Her approach blends craftsmanship, logic, and empathy — reshaping how we live, feel, and connect with our environments. STATEMENT OF ART:To me, design is not merely about aesthetics or solving spatial problems — it is an emotional medium. I believe that every material, texture, and lighting condition holds the potential to tell a story, to evoke a memory, or to anchor someone to a place. My practice focuses on creating spaces that breathe with quiet elegance, balancing logic with intuition. Through natural finishes, curated details, and the subtle play of light and shadow, I aim to create interiors that are not only lived in, but deeply felt — like art that shelters life.
