Design, to me, is more than function — it is a language that quietly shapes the way we experience the world. It exists in the curve of a handle, the warmth of wood, the balance of form and space. It is the intersection of thought, material, and intention. Design is about listening to people, to context, and to materials and crafting responses that are honest, meaningful, and enduring.
My design philosophy is deeply tied to narrative. I believe that objects can hold memory, emotion, and cultural significance. Through material exploration and form development, I aim to create pieces that not only serve a purpose but also resonate with meaning. Every piece I design begins with a story — sometimes rooted in tradition, sometimes in personal reflection, and sometimes inspired by the material itself.
In my furniture designs, I often explore the tension between permanence and play — between the solid nature of the object and the emotional fluidity of the experience it creates. A cabinet becomes more than storage when it invites ritual; a table becomes more than a surface when it gathers people in conversation or play. I seek to create designs that reveal something over time — a detail noticed, a material touched, a memory recalled.
