View Larger Image and Additional Photos of Yiyun QiuAbout Yiyun Qiu : Cloud Qiu (Yiyun Qiu) is an award-winning designer and innovation strategist whose 0-to-1 work bridges science, art, and technology. With over seven years of experience, she has led pioneering projects in wearable healthcare, AIoT systems, and space-based interactive design, creating multidimensional experiences that connect people with their bodies, environments, and the cosmos.
Holding dual Master’s degrees in Technology Innovation (University of Washington) and AIoT Design (Tsinghua University), she has spearheaded initiatives such as Cosmusica—an orbital art satellite transforming real-time planetary data into sound—reaching 200M+ people globally, earning 10+ international awards, and exhibiting at leading institutions including the National Museum of China.
Her AI-powered rehabilitation system, 0m³Gym, addressed chronic muscle imbalance and was a Microsoft Imagine Cup global finalist. Her work has been recognized with the Red Dot Award, Platinum Good Design Award (USA), Gold French Design Award and A’ Design Award, reflecting her impact across cultural and technological innovation. As North America Director of the Xu Beihong Art Museum, she advances large-scale art-tech activations worldwide. Her mission is to expand the role of design as a bridge between human experience and emerging frontiers.
Design and art, to me, are means of creating resonance between humans and their bodies, between technology and emotion, between the Earth and the cosmos. I believe good design dissolves into life, making interaction seamless, meaningful, and healing. Art, in its highest form, expands perception and invites reflection. I see my work as a bridge, one that connects the seen and the unseen, the functional and the poetic, the now and the future.
