Previously, I received a Master of Architecture degree at Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Tsinghua University. I also have professional experience working at distinguished design firms or institutes such as Gensler, MAD Architects, and Harvard Art Museums.
Both in my previous professional and academic practice, I have worked on projects of different types and scales around the world, such as the San Diego International Airport, Singapore Changi International Airport Terminal 5, and Baiziwan Social Housing — the biggest social housing project in China.
My interests in architecture are at the intersection of computational design, formalism, and urbanism. I am particularly curious about how computation could assist in the generation of form and space, and how these formal aspects of architecture could reconcile with societal, political and ethical issues related to the built environment.
