Profile: Satu Matilainen

About Satu Matilainen : I am a mother. The mother of 3 children who got pretty bad burnout four years ago, and that is where my story begins. It led me through a living hell, a dark night of the soul, which I would not wish to happen to anyone. I truly know I am not the only one. Because of my heart and my love for others, I could not leave it at that. There was a time when even lying on the floor was too much. I am not afraid of dying, but I am afraid if that exhaustion ever comes back, the mere thought of it still makes me cry. After going through most of it, I could not shake the thought that I could do something to help everyone else. I wondered what I would have had the strength for on my worst days, and for some reason, it occurred to me that I would have had enough strength to light a candle. A candle is a symbol of hope for me. And just looking at the flame calms the mind. Then, a dream of mine came again to my mind. I had a dream about an EM candle earlier and even talked about it to one of the manufacturers, but it was somehow forgotten. The thought returned to me so strongly that it compelled me to start the process. I started one evening by first designing the label for the candle. The next morning I woke up at around 7.00 am and continued right away. I was writing texts, brochures, gift cards..until late evening. I remember I had had coffee in the morning, but I ate for the first time that day in the evening at about 8.30 pm. I laughed afterward that I probably went to the bathroom a few times, at least my pants were dry. But this reflects the process well, I don't have clear memories of that day. This is how it all started. This is the story of me behind this product of mine, a very significant period of my life, and at the same time, it is a story of this product. Despite everything, it has been one of the most graceful experiences in my life. This is life. " I have cried so many tears on my Path and from those tears I created this treasure for you my Love.
