Profile: Pengmin(Adora) Xu

About Pengmin(Adora) Xu : Hello everyone, my name is Pengmin Xu, a passionate graphic designer from Shandong, China, now living in Vancouver. I have been studying graphic design for three years now, and as a visual communicator, I use my abundant creativity to turn concepts into reality.

Based on my Chinese cultural background, my design philosophy is to create simple yet meaningful aesthetic pieces. While maintaining a modern style, I also incorporate my own unique perspective into my designs. I believe that visual messages attract the eye and resonate emotionally with the audience. My work often explores the intersection of form and function, where each element serves a purpose.

My areas of expertise include logo design, print design, and web design. I like exploring the story behind each project and then telling it visually to readers. I firmly believe that "A look is worth a thousand words." Design language establishes connections through elements such as fonts, colors, and typography. It is the most beautiful language in the world.

When away from design, I am passionate about cooking and Chinese Tea ceremonies. In front of the stove, I immerse myself in the creativity of cooking, skilfully blending ingredients and cultivating the ability to arrange things in an orderly manner. Cooking is a joy that I fully commit to. And the tea ceremony became a place for me to meditate and reflect. Every time I make tea, I have a moment of inner dialogue, which brings me peace and balance. In cooking and tea art, I find the beauty of another art in life, which injects inspiration and diversity into my design creations.
