Profile: Chen Ding

About Chen Ding : Chen Ding, he is a person who talks little, but also has his own unique laughing points, he cares about people, respects teachers and mentor, he willing to break through himself under the status quo. He loved to draw and learn about cars since he was a child, and he cherished classic cars. In high school, he determined his design career plan, in order to pursue his design dream, he participated in art intensive training before the college entrance examination, and was not afraid of the level gap with other professional art students. he humbly ask teachers and classmates for advice to strengthen professionalism, and finally obtained the certificate in the Beijing Film Academy school examination and entered the virtual space design major of Beijing Film Academy. Although this major is different from car design, he is still willing to learn and understand the knowledge and information of automobile design on the platform of Beijing Film Academy. After learning modeling software and computer graphics, he participated in the design competition, and won the fourth place in the GAC Design Competition in his freshman year.
The automobile market in various countries because of environmental protection issues, the government actively promotes the development of various industries of fuel vehicle electrification, including the automobile design industry, the traditional fuel vehicle design industry in various countries ushered in the impact of all aspects of change brought about by electrification, the automotive design language is undergoing a change, which requires new design talents to join this change discussion, he is hoping to take this wave to create his own unique and valuable car design.
Mr Ding Chen is a quiet person with his little sense of humour. He is thoughtful to people around him and respectful to his teachers and mentors. He is willing to come out of his comfort zones to take new challenges. Since he was a child, he has been having great passion on cars and designs. In high school, he has already decided his future career plan as a car designer. In order to pursue his design dream, he joined an intensive training in an art school before the National College Entrance Examination. During the training he always worked very hard independently while keeping an open-mind to new ideas and different opinions. He was then accepted by Beijing Film Academy and started his university study major in Virtual Space Design.
In Mr Chen’s first year in university, with his new knowledge of modelling-software and computer-graphics, he participated in the GAC Design Competition and won the fourth-place in the national competition.
Nowadays, for environmental protection purposes, in most countries governments actively promote development of electrification on fuel vehicles in many industries, including the automobile-design industry. This “Electrification” has a great impact on traditional fuel-vehicle- design industry and this requires new design talents to join this evolutional journey. Mr Chen is hoping to take this great opportunity to create his unique and valuable car designs.
