About Wei-Kai Fang : My name is Wei-Kai Fang. I come from Taiwan. I chose to devoted to interior design after 30 years old. First of all, I learned Sketchup, 3DS Max, rendering software, Photoshop and Illustrator through books and software official websites. Next, start preparing your own design portfolio. Later, I joined a system cabinet company as a design assistant.
Then, I joined another commercial space design company as a design assistant, and my work included 3D design proposals, drawing construction drawings, and contracting with manufacturers. From the initial proposal, I can always provide the boss with multiple design ideas. In the process, I may fine-tune the design direction, or make a proposal directly according to my original idea. As for the later construction drawings and production contracts, in view of my solid mechanical engineering background, I will consider the convenience and feasibility of the construction drawings when I draw them. At the same time, the guidance of the boss and the engineering work also makes my drawings more in line with the conditions of the site. need. In addition, the boss often takes me to measure construction sites and visit customers. Although my qualifications are not as good as my colleague's 10-year qualifications, my work attitude, speed of completing cases, and design integrity are far superior to him. Therefore, the boss almost entrusts me with more important cases in the company. In the past two years of career, my design ability has grown significantly.
And now, I have been in this field for 6 year and am ready to design on my own.
