View Larger Image and Additional Photos of Tommi KetonenAbout Tommi Ketonen : Tommi Ketonen is a glass artist, longtime tattoo artist, entrepreneur and watchmaker. In his glass sculptures, he depicts a spectrum of forms, phenomena and emotions, as well as the beauty and richness of life and every moment. The works utilize the visual elements of tattoo art as well as fine mechanical expertise and spatial perception.
In less than three years, Ketonen has amazingly created his own glass sculptures using one of the most difficult methods in glass art: the Graal technique.
I want to offer beautiful, colorful multidimensional eye candy that captures and speaks, interests and awakens, stops and touches.
My work conveys my own way of looking at things, but leaving room for interpretation for the viewer. Things are rarely one-dimensional.
My work shows that I enjoy working with small details and highlighting them, the colors and their combinations, and the opportunity provided by glass to layer pictures and things into a narrative whole. The optics and physicality of the massive glass sculpture are also powerful.
All creation combines in a broad way previous experience in different fields and different elements of one's own areas of expertise. I have a strong desire to create things from start to finish. I get excited, ending up boldly.
I am inspired by the environment, details and perspectives that are not so obvious.
I am driven by the arc of the whole artistic process, inspired by the joy and joy of realization, to a harsh, not cold, end.
I was inspired to export different materials seduced by new possibilities and methods in an effort to master them.
My own desire to boldly and open-mindedly try and explore new material, see where the material really bends. I am not a guest doing things maybe differently than expected or used to be.
