STATEMENT OF ART:
Inevitably, energy issues and climate change are moving to the forefront in the 21st century. Various new challenges are emerging. I strongly believe that architects can and should find solutions facing contemporary environmental and energy issues. The challenges, on the other hand, provide a great opportunity for us to radically rethink the relationship between architecture and our built environment across different scales and disciplines. I believe we can shape a future better than today by optimizing energy efficiency through passive design strategies, adaptive systems etc in the architectural design, and by minimizing carbon emissions through design optimization and smart material selections.
