The best paradigm of education is to make us like to "learn to learn", knowledge is a kind of destination to which we are irretrievably placed to reach. What one knows must circulate, must help others (Open archives - Library scoop.it/ - Researchgate.net - Academia.edu - WordPress.com - Brain, mind and conscience on FB - Mendeley). It is an interest to which I have dedicated time and effort that achieved recognition of the quality of its contents by Health On the Net - HonCode and has focused on the dissemination of biomedical information on different mass media platforms: the impact, for example, on 4 years on the Knol platform was around 500,000 views, thanks to this worldwide audience.
Likewise, editorial groups of different medical journals were linked, such as the magazine Medicina, Zootecnia y Veterinaria en Colombia, Acta Rheumatologica de Barcelona, thanks to them for the vote of confidence.
Various presentations and exhibitions held at different national medical congresses in Colombia, as well as international ones, have allowed an active exchange of opinions with various specialties and subspecialties, all with the aim of helping to improve patient care, to provide elements to solve frequent problems in the consultation, and above all this the subject of osteoarticular diseases has caught my attention, to which I have devoted much of my attention in recent years.
In this neosecular time where health care - we know - is in crisis, educational endeavors for the different protagonists of this state of mental and social well-being are conceptual bridges that help in the dynamic process of decision-making in health; José de Letamendi, professor at Ramón y Cajal said that "whoever only knows medicine, not even medicine knows", in such a way that knowledge must support each other for a solid achievement. The holistic perspective that I use when having training as an internist seeks to be based on evidence and contribute to the best dissemination (Wix profile). To what extent this objective has been achieved, only time will tell, however this important award today gallantly recognizes it.
As Hippocrates de Cos said in his aphorisms, highlighting the importance of study, life is short, art is extensive, opportunity fleeting, experiment dangerous, and judgment difficult. And in this sense of the value of education, organizations like IOCIM are called to exercise effective leadership for their objective of propagating research and education among the medical community, one of the strongholds of our societies.

Art is a beautiful way to express science. Science need to be adequately presented to the lay audience in order to ease the widespread of knolewdge. One of the best paradygms of this in western world was Leonardo Da Vinci, a paramount renaissance man reaching the mastery to express science in a such artistic way and to express art with cutting edge technology, revolutionary for his time. Art and science are complementary and necessary in our time to express ideas and concepts, mor than ever !!
