Fox grew up in small towns around Texas. She achieved a Bachelor in Fine Arts in 2010 from Tarleton State University, graduating with honors.
She works in mixed media as a means of exploring the way line and color conveys an emotive story. Gaining inspiration by observation of her life in Texas, as well as her lifelong interest in history, and folklore. Fox finds the idea of defining her own history and framing experiences of our collective life plays a huge influence on her work.
She has been working in the art field since 2011. Fox has been shown in galleries, private collections, and juried shows nationally. In her work with nonprofits and local businesses she has taught art classes and led community projects in locations around Texas. She currently acts as Associate Director for a local nonprofit Palette of Purpose Inc, creating opportunities for community engagement with art and local artists.
A Texas mixed media artist, I am inspired by the world around me as well as my lifelong passion for history, and mythology. I find the ideas of collective experience and interpretation are a huge influence on my work.
I utilize a variety of mixed media to create the vivid saturation and the expressive strokes in my art. The use of varying texture, color, and line in my art is integral to my ability to achieve a specific feel with each work.
My recent work centers around the way we relate to our environment in contemporary life. Conveying an emotive picture of our contemporary life is essential to my process as an artist. Highlighting the way we relate to our contemporary environment, and the stories we make.
