View Larger Image and Additional Photos of MohacutAbout Mohacut : The main concern of Mohammad Ketabi is asking questions and finding answers. In the way of design , the most interesting section for him is detecting problems and finding the solution. He considers being out of balance as the main problem of modern houman ; therefore always seeks to find a “new equilibrium point” in his designs. A balance between art and craft, nature and modern urban life, a balance between a functionalist view of industrial products and an aesthetic view.
In his opinion, design by creating both visual and functional diversity can help produce less waste by increasing the duration of use of a product and be profitable for the environmental problem.
We are surrounded by art works that are only for visual usage and we do not have enough space for them. Also, industrial products that have many applications, but due to lack of beauty, we put them away.
Today, more than ever, the boundary between art and industry is fading and it's time for technology and industry itself to be influenced by aesthetics and artistic thoughts. While designing, ِbefore asking “how” we should ask “why”? It is time to produce something that has been more Influenced by thought and thinking than technology.
I believe , “creativity” happens somewhere between art and industry, natural elements and human crafts; between what we have left behind and what is upon us.
