The white, unfilled one provokes a jump, is a challenge, a path that invites you to go forward. Depending on the type of work, mood, condition, it can be a walk, jog or a mad run. I like the last one the most ;-). In the process of creating, I often give in to chance. It is a good ally in what I do, because - as you know - "nothing happens by accident". In digital techniques, it is more difficult to find a coincidence, the tools are not flexible but faithful to the programming vision of those who designed them. They resist my insistent attempts to break their limitations. More work is needed to squeeze the artistic values out of digital tools, to articulate their own "I". This also presents an interesting challenge.
I have a certain distance to color. I don't see the need to use it any more than others see the need to use a convergent perspective, symphony orchestra, cuneiform script. There is a certain precise fragility in this. I don't feel limited by this. Contrary.
