Over the past 3 years (2018, 2019, 2020), my eyes have been opened to see that design is everywhere. It is more than just pretty packaging, it has the potential to fight climate change, educate the masses, drive social movements, represent the oppressed, assist the needy, support the vulnerable, reconstruct the broken and most importantly unify us all.
As a designer, I am constantly rediscovering myself and evolving who I am as a creative, taking inspiration from everything surrounding me. I feel that I never need to pinpoint or encapsulate who I want to be as a designer into one thing as design allows me to change dreams, styles and motives from one day to the next. At times I’ve felt that indecisiveness was a weakness when it came to design as it possibly wasted time, but I know see that it’s a strength. By embracing indecisiveness and contradiction, design has encouraged me to find the unexpected and most intriguing links between things that are seemingly worlds apart.
