I am currently studying at Rhode Island School of Design, pursuing my BFA in Industrial Design and Product Design. I’ve come to the realisation that design, no matter large or small, should be human-centric. How we act and react, is largely influenced by the designs around us, and I’m passionate about using Empathy as a tool to bridge the gap between the designers and the users.
For me, sometimes the end result of a design is not as important as the significance of the journey of exploration and discovery of designing. Coming from RISD, I was exposed to many illuminating interdisciplinary designs, and have explored in different areas myself. However, I aspire to find my own stand in design and to implement more of my design ideologies into future projects. In this fast-paced ever-changing world, I think it is important to look back on the past and reflect on what makes some design timeless. I want to preserve the traditional sense of beauty and elegance, fusing it with contemporary and even futuristic technologies, to produce new designs for people of the modern age.
I think within the creative field, each kind of art inform and facilitate one another, and I find my passions for literature and music valuable for my growth as a designer.
