About Siniša Prvanov : I am born in Republic of Serbia 1965. Interior architect and educator with over 25 years of experience in the high-end design industry and higher education. I have completed my PhD at the National Technical University of Athens, awarded by the IKEA Foundation, and my undergraduate studies at the University of Belgrade. I have integrated the highest caliber international methods of teaching into my courses. In conjunction with internationally acclaimed architecture firms, my professional work has received several design awards. My work been exhibited internationally in Berlin, Milan, Bologna, Athens, Monaco, Montevideo, and Montreal and has appeared in eleven books, two journal monographs, and over 20 journal articles. STATEMENT OF ART:My research interests lie in the area of public architecture, and interior design in the marine environment, ranging from theory to design to implementation. I have collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of interior design, particularly furniture design on problems at the CNC solid wood furniture prototyping and fabrication. My current research focuses on teaching methods and innovations in course design supported in part by UNESCO education sector, 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. I served on roughly ten conference and workshop program committees and served as the Program Chair for ADS Vietnam Design Institute 2015. As well on the Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) Executive Committee 2016, the Steering Committee for the Van Lang University Interior Architecture Curriculum, and the HAWA Education Board 2016. I am a member of Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), International Association for Economics, Management, Marketing, Quality and Human Resources in Forestry and Forest Based Industry (WoodEMA), and Association of Applied Artists & Designers, Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia (UPIDIV). I have been involved in practicing interior design over 25 years. in Greece where I was studying as well. Finally I had need to transfer my practical knowledge and experience to younger generations in Europe and mainly in South-East Asia. The Interior Design strives to develop professionals who effectively contribute to the enhancement of the human environment by considering function, health, safety, and welfare. To develop hand-craft skills and to use new technologies and engeneering. The new age is age of artificial intelligence and robotics. But one without other can’t work together. And in my opinion, and not only mine, ii the best formula for tomorrow with a firm commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Teaching design for a change and for tomorrow needs. To be responsible and to take into account our global problems like overpopulation, recourses, climate change.
