View Larger Image and Additional Photos of sijia jiangAbout sijia jiang : Sijia Jiang is a London based fashion designer who is known for her simple, conceptual and wearable designs. After her graduate collection selected for the press show by London college of fashion in 2019, she creates her personal label Sijia studio. Sijia is looking to provide creative garments and also aim to help change the common concept of sustainable fashion to better aid the planet in resource retention and circularity.
As wastage and over-consumption are becoming severe problems in the fashion industry, brands with their own culture, style, and sustainable value are becoming the trend for the fashion industry. Design is for humans and our daily life, which should be practical and sustainable; Art is the food for our soul, which is inspiring and pleasing. I believe a good fashion design work should be a combination of both which is a wearable piece of art that could stay in our wardrobe for a long time. My purpose is to make people pay more attention to consuming’ slow-fashion’; each garment is unique with a focus on quality and durability, highlighting two of my design values of creativity and sustainability.
