On his canvases, the competent use of color softens the rigidity of the straight contours, giving the artist's works great vivacity, without prejudice to the pictorial harmony; in sculptures, in turn, monochromy prevails.
For these characteristics, Galvão's works establish remarkable dialogues - without falling, however, into pastiche - with several aesthetic currents from the last century (notably suprematism and neoconcretism) and with works by renowned artists such as Metaesquemas by Helio Oiticica and some of compositions by Aluísio Carvão.
