She's not afraid to layout a magazine or a website and then break the design over and over again. She doesn't aim to be the best in a room, she wants to work with the best and learn from them. Before content is created for a website, Emma still starts out with the basics. There's a mood board and she decides on a location or multiple locations, a look and feel is established in front of a photographer who is best suited for your client. The people she uses in a commercial or an ad won't be posed and fake. Emma uses real people who have an understanding of what message needs to be communicated. Everything Emma does is part of a group effort. She designs the strategy and then she works with the best team available to execute that strategy. Muay Thai has helped Emma with decision making. When someone is throwing a punch at your face there are many decisions you can make to move out of the way of danger. That applies to the fact paced world of design and now Emma can make decisions quicker which has led to a greater body of work.
STATEMENT OF ART:When I think about art and design I think about humans. How will they interact with something I created or worked on? How can I make their life easier? Did I present information in a way that makes sense and keeps them well informed? Design is a process with many layers to it and even when you fail, you're learning to communicate more effectively. We're living in a time where a whole film crew isn't always needed to communicate an idea. You can pull out your phone and talk to your audience whenever you want and keep them well informed about what's coming next, what you have in stock, and for those who don't know you that well - you can introduce yourself to them. Design is only limited by you, it's no longer limited by what tools you have.

In my free time I like to train in a martial art named Muay Thai. This awesome sport has taken me on a transformational journey.
