I studied Industrial Design in Ecuador, and learned later that I felt passionate about fashion, especially jewelry.
As the years go by, I decided to study fashion business in Barcelona. When I came back to Ecuador I decided to finally elaborate hundreds of jewelry sketches I had made as a student. I think that jewelry lies exactly in the middle of these two design disciplines that are my passion.
I started a personal Brand called UVE Joyeria Androgina, which is inspired by an androgynus style. Through this Brand, I pretend to explore different possibilities of manufacturing jewelry, starting with very traditional techniques as lost wax casting, wax carving. And also new technologies like laser-cut, CNC router modeling, and 3D printing.
The style that defines this personal Brand is very clean, simple, sometimes minimalistic. There are many shapes and processes that I explore to create the pieces.
