In her first year as an undergraduate student, she won The 2019 Social Global Innovation Challenge. Frida competed against 41 international student teams and won recognition and a monetary prize in seed funding granted by the government organization Cal Recycle. Frida used the money from the grant to develop her design and, in the same year, participated in the 2019 Mexican National Prize of Design. Competing against the designers of the country of Mexico, and won in the category for best conceptual design, sponsored by the Mexican Institute of industrial property, and received an honorable mention given by Diseña México, organized by the Certifying Council for Innovation and Design, A.C., an organized civil association that brings together a large group of designers, academics, supporters and students of design in Mexico.
STATEMENT OF ART:I believe design in empathy, understanding the user, and their problems to develop new solutions. Design is the act of discovering user needs to generate ideas for the following product and development of innovations.
