About Robert Nichols : He is incredibly sensitive at all levels, particularly to design criticism and receiving new information input. Because he has a strong sense of independence, he is able to respond to what is necessary retain an interpretation. His formal sensitivity is highly developed and his visual talents enable him to translate his natural abilities into solving complex architectural problems. His impeccable draftsmanship is combined with speed productivity at a very high qualitative level. In addition to outstanding skills and work habits, his architecture embodies conceptual strength as well as poetic sensitivity, which clearly indicates a strong understanding of the meaning of history and precedence. STATEMENT OF ART:When I was 15 years old, I got a first part-time job at the local architectural firm. An experience had enabled me an increased experience with invaluable inspiration throughout all my academic years in architecture until I received BArch and MArch degrees under Colin Rowe from Cornell University. The depth of my experience and other interests have not been compromised, although I am concerning the creative struggle inherent with the design process and the search for a design idea, and my poem imports to me a stronger understanding of architecture than most polished sets of ink drawings.
