Profile: Ioana Csiki Sava

About Ioana Csiki Sava : i am an artist who graduated as stage director. The magic of theatre works on in my new career. Each jewellery i design has a research background. I am given a theme - like in a contest - and i study it largely. i try to understand the theme from different points of view: as history, literature, art, music, geography, etc and then to make my own view : the creation. i am self taught in handmade jewellery field and all the techniques i learnt i enjoyed using to express better the beauty. both in people and art. i studied old embroidery techniques in order to keep alive the manual craft in times of industry. the unicity of handmade over the "cheap and alike". Haute couture is richness source to fashion as well as to jewellery. i am looking to make a piece of art of each jewellery using traditional techniques in a modern word. i want to make them precious and rich with modern materials and for modern activities. my goal is to help each person wearing my creation to look beautiful, to underline the most interesting "peaks", not the most ordinary. i am interesting because i like be and create different, unique.
