Her work is greatly influenced by her multidisciplinary training, enriching the product of her work.
She started studying the arts of traditional calligraphy at a young age and received her training under the tutelage of great renowned masters of Saudi Arabia such as Ibrahim Alarafy, in 2009; and Hussam Almatar, receiving his apprenticeship for the past three years. From 2012, Baydouban participated in many local exhibitions and workshop activities in Jeddah and across the region.
She presented many workshop and training in Calligraphy Scripts in Jeddah, Al Riyadh, and most recently in Al khobar starting from 2010 – 2015. She received a number of awards for her contribution to the splendor art of calligraphy. Although calligraphy is her main passion she employs a free form in a more contemporary approach, to reflect her own identify in her work, but at the same time preserve the principles of traditional Arabic Calligraphy.
She prepares her support using traditional pigments such as walnut oil dyes as a rich background for her work, intermarrying the surface with calligraphy letters that take a life of their own to tell beautiful narratives between each letter and each stroke. The color palette she uses echoes that of the renaissance sketches but with an Arabian flavor.
