Nicknamed "Lucky" he died once and has had more near death experiences than he can count and loves telling about them. He loves his work and puts all his soul into his illustrations, designs and paintings.
Lakstein searches for the ultimate truth both within his work and himself in order the "sift through the dirt to get gold".
Lakstein believes that as artists and designers we are not only humanly bound to our designs and artworks but also spiritually bound to it.
If it's art then it should be the bare soul of the artist on the piece of art.
If it's design then it should first serve the purpose for which it was made and then strive to achieve something greater.
