Profile: Serhat Namli

About Serhat Namli : Serhat Namlı was born in Nazilli in 1981. He was educated in Nazilli during the primary, elementary and high school years and he ranked 1st among 924 competitors in the contest “21st CENTURY’s AUTOMOBILE DESIGNER” that was co-held by PSA Peugeot design and Otomoto-Spor magazine while he was only at the 2nd grade of the high school in 1997. He was invited to Design Studios of Peugeot in Paris by PSA Peugeot in 1998. After having a conversation with the Chief Designer of PSA Peugeot Mr. Murat Günak, he believed that this contest was a milestone for him and decided to pursue his career as a “Designer”. He was admitted to DESIGN DEPARTMENT OF IZMIR DOKUZ EYLÜL UNIVERSITY in 1999 as the 3rd ranking student. His design awards that he won in various branches during his university education registered his success in this branch firmly. After having learnt “how to design a good product?” during his 4 years education, he started his designing career by working in various companies delivering designing services. He moved to Istanbul in 2006 and he learnt “how to promote a product?” by working in advertisement and film production companies. He moved to Germany in 2011. After having completed his integration with the country and the language, he provided design services to various German companies. Currently, he is working as a freelancer and offering design and consultancy services for an airplane for 2 persons that is being produced by the aircraft and engineering company Samsun, Turkey.
