I've spent a lot of time simply thinking and trying to understand life in a way that helps me to give back to it and the community more effectively and efficiently, and my primary goal in my life is to convey healthy understanding in a coherent fashion through the medium of music to the people of the world, so no one else has to think as much, because some concepts of existential life and purpose are very daunting questions to answer. Drumset was my first instrument, but as I progressed in the art of music, I realized I would be more capable if I learned more than the one instrument. I have since taken the time to develop skills in guitar, vocals, bass, piano, sound tracking, mixing, composing, and I try to be in a few bands at all times in addition to my solo projects where I try to push my abilities. The thing that makes me important is I want to get music playing on the radio that helps people deal with their problems more effectively and gives them the energy to do it, rather than the escapist method that we seem to endorse here in my home country. I wake up with the goal of trying to help everyone around me smile more often, and hope one day my music will do the same when people listen to it. Spiritual and emotional health is something I try to endorse with my philosophy and music because they seem to be pushed to the side far too often for the sake of money, immediate comforts, and the easy task of simply giving up on dreams and bigger goals in life. I believe the world needs a 'North Star' for spiritual and emotional health that we can look up to when we're feeling lost in life, and thus DoctorVybes was created over the years. While DoctorVybes was originally an alias for my positive philosophy notes that I shared through media, it eventually became obvious that it would become my solo project I use to carry these goals forward.
STATEMENT OF ART:To me, art is about creation and epitomizing ideals and perspectives in a confined and finite form that can be analyzed and used as a tool for insight, understanding, sympathy, and self-reflection in a manner that is both personal and effective to a range of people and cultures on both a individual and communal level. I believe it is these aspects of art that help distinguish the more magical elements of life from the more mundane concept of a rock simply sitting in the dirt. A poet can make an enchanting story about the rock that makes it seem bigger than life, and thus has a higher ceiling for inspiration and spiritual support networks.
