I started out designing and creating jewellery as a form of mental/emotional healing. The pieces are not just created to be a form of body adornment alone I see them as pieces of art that tell a story of strength, perseverance, upliftment and empowerment for both men and women. I believe that art jewellery should speak to people so that it gets to the point where they can say why am I wearing this piece or why am I gifting it to someone? What impact will it have on the wearer apart from just looking nice when it is worn. Does it get them thinking about life, both the positives and the negatives? How have they coped as they have journeyed through life and what lessons have they learnt along the way be it good or bad to deal with situations that they have found themselves in? There’s nothing like wearing art jewellery that tells the unique story of strength, perseverance, inspiration, and empowerment. From the intentional bashes and textures on the surface that tells a story that life isn’t perfect, but with our flaws, challenges, and disappointments we can continue to move forward and achieve whatever it is that we want to in life and also be a blessing to others that look up to us for encouragement.
