His design works are exhibited in various countries and institutions, such as Trienniale di Milano,Hungarian Architecture Festival. He has also published several proceedings and journal papers related to interior design education,spatial design for social innovation, both in Chinese and English.
Yang is fascinated by the critique, radicalism and freedom spirit of Italian design, he is a promoter of Chinese design culture,he also inherited the rebellious spirit of architect Wang Shu (2012 Pritzker Prize Laureate).
The purpose of his Phd study is to explore ways of interior design education in Italy and China can be compared .This study could be a good pilot study for testing different methods related to the construction of comparison between educational programs in different cultural backgrounds.
