Also he was born into a family of sports. In school he joined active social and athletic groups such as the basketball school team and Ghana United Nations Students and youth Association. As a peer promoter he inspired the youth to develop interest for the game of basketball and guided others to abstain from social vices. As a young artist he put his drawing skills to a couple of tests by partaking in logo competitions and was awarded a certificate for his artistic contributions for shaping the life styles of the youth by the Ghana United Nations. He pursued his interest in Art/design and sports at the Takoradi technical University, Ghana. It was there he discovered his interest in traveling during the inter University basketball competition tour. He has a good sense of humor and likes to attend art/design events, sports events and tech shows to be abreast with time. He founded AFRO ARTLETIC to bring art and sports together as a tool to change the World.
In all, Alfred Agyekum Boateng has long been waiting for a major platform like A-design to make connections with sports apparel manufacturers and make deals to raise funds to support 'Peace' campaigns.
I believe Art and Design are correlated. Art represents the visual communication of an idea or emotional thoughts whiles Design is the result of innovative approach of producing artifacts to improve the way we live(providing practical solutions to life challenging problems).
