Her interest has always been exploring better designs for healthcare that will have user-centric impact in this digital age. Her professional and teaching experience include design work at Siemens Medical Instruments, the Design Singapore Council and NUS. Agnes has always been an entrepreneur at heart. During her time outside of the university, she has invested and started a 3D visualisation design consultancy and an interior design company. In her personal capacity, she volunteers as the Honorary Treasurer of the Lupus Association Singapore. I am an advocator of design thinking and bears multi-disciplinary aptitudes in conducting my research whilst borrowing from various theoretical traditions (critical, post-colonial, and Asian-centric) to enhance my artistic sensibility. I regularly collaborate on trans-disciplinary teams with scholars in different fields. I believe in the importance of fostering strong community-based partnerships and developing capacity-building opportunities for all those involved, particularly community organizations and members.
