About Julia Nikoleisen : Julia Nikoleisen, Founder of NIKO IRON x NIKOLEISEN, actually graduating her MA Degree in Textile Product Design at HS Niederrhein, University of Applied Science in Mönchengladbach/Germany. Her final collection deals with sustainable approaches, which are integrated into Design and Realization of her collection. Generally she is focused on Re- and Upcycling, she always uses "waste", leftovers from the Industry and combines them with traditional Handcrafting and innovative design concepts. Her style is defined by oversized silhouettes that are inspired by Japanese culture. This blurs the boundaries between the sexes, everyone can wear the garments, colors and shapes are always suitable for every gender. That makes her design work very interesting. She always attaches great importance to the individuality of the garment. With the usage of textile patterns, she likes to tell the story of its history. Each model is unique, a hybrid of old and new, a sustainable product that is reinterpreted and translated into future trends. You can't separate Design from Art and Art from Design. They live from each other, approach each other and love each other.
