About Costin George Benescu : Costin George Benescu is a flexible visual creative. Born and raised in Romania he became interested early in visual storytelling, character design and game design. While still in middle school his first game concept included game mechanics involving collecting DNA samples from an alien planet doomed to extinction by a black hole event. While studying in Bucharest, Romania he got interested in concept design developing a project published in issue #8 of OMA9!U Magazine called "Nano Green Cube" - which proposed a metamorphosing product design based on nano robots, modified algae and smart molecule material system that would eliminate waste in the household electronics loop.

With experience in gaming ranging from J2ME, iOS, Android mobile games to Facebook and even casino games he delivered Production Art, Animation, UI Design, Character Design and even Art Direction on multiple shipped titles from startup companies to global corporations like Gameloft, Namco Bandai, Royal Games and Yggdrasil Gaming. Currently working at LEGO focusing on Concept Design and Visual Brand consistency.
STATEMENT OF ART:
Good design becomes a solution to an itching problem in a sustainable context and social environment. Beautiful design is achieved when form supports function but also get's distilled into the most minimal visual impact that's decodable. Art is a way to challenge expectations, provoke deep thinking and a strong emotional response.
