She first graduated with a B.S. degree in Plant and Horticultural Sciences from the University of Florida in 1998. Myra Vega began working with the Federal government as an Agricultural Specialist in 2002 and worked for them for 11 years. Then she graduated with a diploma in Digital Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2013. She then started her freelance career as a graphic/production designer where had the opportunity to work for different industries. Myra then graduated with her MA in Advertising from the Academy of Art University in 2019 and she has been trying to look for a job in the Advertising field since then. Mayra has a lot of goals and projects that she wants to turn into reality like start her invitation design company and to work on e-commerce. In the meantime Myra is trying to find contract work as a designer.
STATEMENT OF ART:I think design and art takes the individual to a higher intellectual, spiritual, surrealistic and blissful state of being. Design and art have been used throughout history for people to express themselves socially, politically, religiously, and individually. Art and design use color palettes, typographical symbols, art and design elements together with life experiences, nature and history in order to create amazing masterpieces that can depict the message that they are trying to communicate to society.
As an artist, my favorite type of art is to draw in pencil or pen and as an advertiser and communicator it is to design campaigns that will talk to my audience by making them feel a special connection with the product, service or ideology.
