Helwan University Egypt and Parliament member STATEMENT OF ART:Dr. Manal is a public figure, active contributor in the artistic movements, and she has a message of delivering art and beauty to all her students She joins regularly in international exhibitions and she has authentic designs that helped in improving several industrial products As a Parliament member, she works on delivering societal voice regards visual culture and supporting Egyptian culture. Dr. Manal is working relentlessly to make positive impacts by her arts and designs. Egyptian artist, I began my journey with art since childhood, where I had started to paint my family members especially my late beloved father. When I indulge with art and materials, sometimes I have a sketch that I am working on, and sometimes I have no idea about the piece that I want to accomplish. Therefore, I let my emotions lead me with the material to the result. With art, I imagine myself as a little child playing with the materials, and when a notion strikes my mind, I catch it and stay behind it until becoming a piece of art. As an academic professor, I am keen to follow-up the emerging technologies such as virtual and digital sculpture, and always ask myself how can I use these technologies to improve my art. My artistic identity is derived from being an Egyptian, the granddaughter of the Pharaohs, who created a great civilization based on sculpture, and therefore when I work, I like my art to have originality reflecting the philosophy of the eternity of art. I want my art to communicate the idea of visual culture and the pleasure of beauty. In addition, I want my art to deliver values such as motherhood, care and inclusion. I hope people to get used to perceive beauty, because when an eye and soul trained to distinguish beauty, so we can differentiate between ugliness and beauty and then reject ugliness. This perception of beauty will be transformed into Positive behaviours and help people to extract the best in their selves, so finally we will have a beautiful society and life full of happiness and joy. I believe that art changes, develops and adapts to technical variables and affected by environmental changes and modern artist must always work to find more creative ways to reach people and benefits from variables. Sometimes those variables are sources for inspiration and creativity, and must be utilized to preserve art and keep its mission of eternity. In life, failure is inevitable. Generally, I see failure as a beginning for a new success. Whatever a person makes mistakes, this will deliver courage and support to a new and unquestionable success. However, for art, I believe there is no failure, because what may seems failure may be a new beginning for the emergence of a novel direction that was not known before. Goals give us the direction. My goals are to deliver my art for everyone on earth interested in arts. As a professor, I aim to leave a positive impact on the souls of my students by being a role model through my work and my contribution to the local and international artistic movement. I also aim to support artistic talents by allowing them to participate in events and help them overcome difficulties and achieve great success.
